The Hound of the Baskervilles Chapters 14-15 (p884-899)

In chapter 14 (The Hound of the Baskervilles), Watson and Holmes went quietly without being seen to Merripit House with Sir Henry and Mr. Stapleton there talking over coffee. Then Mr. Stapleton went to an outhouse and Sir Henry started walking home in the fog. Then Holmes and Watson heard the Hound but did not see it until it got out of the mist. When they did see it, it was a huge fire breathing beast which was described by the myth. So they shot it and it collapsed. They found out that the animal was a bloodhound-mastiff mix as big as a lion and covered with phosphorous so it would glow. Then they went back to the house and saw that Mrs. Stapleton was tied and gagged. When she woke up she told Holmes where her husband's hiding place was. But because the fog was too thick they just headed back to Baskerville Hall with Sir Henry. The next day they went to the spot but could not find Stapleton but they did find where he kept the hound and the phosphorous that scared Sir Charles to death.
In chapter 15 (A Retrospection), Holmes and Watson went back to London and retold what had happened to Henry and Mortimer. After being told, they decided to go on vacation to calm their nerves.
